Classic Ossian Ham Recipe
Our longstanding and mouth-watering ham recipe, perfect for the holidays or special occasions around the dining table.
Equipment
- 1 Roasting Bag
- Toothpicks
Ingredients
- 1 Ossian Ham For use with Old Fashioned Boneless, Old Fashioned Bone-In, and Skinless & Shankless Hams
- 1.5 cups Dark or Light Brown Sugar
- 2 cans Pineapple Slices in Heavy Syrup Save syrup for later
- 1 can Coke Do not use diet
Instructions
- Score the ham 1/2" deep on top and sides
- Rub with brown sugar, coating outside thoroughly
- Using toothpicks, place pineapple slices on top and sides of ham
- Place the ham in a roasting bag
- Pour reserved pineapple syrup over the top of the ham
- Pour can of Coke in the bottom of the bag
- Bake ham at 325 degrees for 10-15 minutes per pound (160 degree internal temperature)
- Remove pineapple slices before carving and place on serving platter
